Trip to the East Coast, Part 1

Here are a few pictures of our trip to the East Coast at the beginning of August.

Baby Steps

Well, it's official! After a couple weeks of standing on his own, cruising around the furniture and pushing anything that moves around the house, Daniel took his first steps yesterday. He took a couple steps while trying to get to Mommy while she was vacuuming, then took a few more steps in the bathtub. Today he did lots of practicing and was able to take six steps before sitting down! Watch out, here he comes!

Daddy was gone last week on a business trip, so Auntie Laura and Daniel helped Mommy celebrate her birthday with a day in Fremont, visiting the park she used to play at when she was little.

Keeping Cool

Daniel survived the recent Seattle heat by playing in his kiddie-pool. It is now his new favorite thing to do!

Daniel's Big Announcement

Yes, it's true! At a recent Tuesday Night Dinner, Auntie Karen called to share the wonderful news that Daniel will have a little cousin to play with sometime around January 4 (which is also Auntie Laura's birthday)! We are all very excited for Auntie Karen and Uncle Jesse!

Battle Royale

In his zeal to kill the moss last year, Daddy accidentally killed most of the grass as well. This year is a year of redemption and, through the help of some generous friends, the lawn has been reborn! After looking at the latest water bill, the lawn has become quite an "investment". Here are some pictures of the "new growth". Very exciting.

Playdate at Greenlake

Recently, Daniel and his friends (Nick Marcu and Cora Goff) took a trip with their mommies to Greenlake. The swings were a big hit. Daniel was so happy his friends came to visit him!
