You know you're getting old when...

At dinner I was helping Daniel understand how to say years, like "2012", "2013", "1995" and so forth. He was having a hard time understanding why you said "nineteen ninety-five" versus "one thousand, nine hundred and ninety-five".

Trying to give him more examples I said, "For example, Daniel, Daddy was born in 1981. Can you say 1981 and one thousand nine hundred and eighty one?"

Daniel: "Oh!!! 1981! The year they discovered Dinosaur bones!......no wait, that was 1986."
