We're not the first to say what an incredible day Sunday was. As born and raised Seattle sports fans, this was one of the most memorable days EVER. We're still pinching ourselves, unsure that it even happened. Our Seahawks? In the super bowl? Winning? No way! It has been so awesome living in Seattle during the past few weeks. There are flags and signs literally everywhere. Similar to how the nation came together after 9/11, Seattle has truly grown together in support of the Seahawks. You can feel it in the air. We'd have loved to be downtown with the rest of the 700,000+ fans today, but it just wasn't going to work out for us. But, our hearts are there and we've still had a great view of the parade and festivities in the warmth of our home. :)
Many windows of the boys' school, St. Alphonsus, are decorated in support of the team. Including this creative one in the principal's office window.
Aaron started gearing up for the game a few days earlier with a Seahawks-sprinkled doughnut.
(Ah, the perks of being home when your brothers are away at school...)
Matthew works on his game face.
Aaron watches the game, vintage-style, wearing Daddy's old seahawks gear.
Touchdown!
Daniel was obsessed with the whole Marshawn Lynch/skittles connection. We bought the LAST bag of skittles from our local grocery store and celebrated the big win with the coveted treat.
Way to go, Seahawks! This was the year!
